Is it safe to use laser and a tattoo removal cream at the same time?
html>On a whim, I got 3 tattoos and now of course I regret them. One tattoo is primarily black, another tattoo is green and red, and the third tattoo is multi-colored red, light blue, light yellow, light green. I am undergoing laser removal and have had 3 treatments. The plastic surgeon is using a Q-Switched Yag laser (?) and my treatments are spaced 5 weeks apart…. Is it safe/wise to use one of the tattoo cream removals in between the laser treatments?

thanks for your advice

My plastic surgeon told me not to do that, and he used a YAG on me. My tattoo was multi-colored with a lot of black, it took about a year, but it cleared up nicely. He did advise me to use some scar reducing cream and skin cream on the area to reduce and afteraffects of the laser. You can’t even tell where my tattoo was now. Just be patient and it’ll clear up sooner than you think.

Does anyone know if any of the tattoo removal creams/lotions/gels really work?
Wondering if anyone has tried any of the tattoo removal creams/lotions/gels and if they really work or not?

Logically, it doesn’t seem like it does remove them. You have to think about what a tattoo is. I just got my first one and it’s deep in your skin cells. They put it into the bottom most layer they can reach because your skin sheds at such an amazing rate. That’s why tattoos fade. Eventually that layer of skin gets closer and closer to the surface and your new skin grows underneath. So no, I wouldn’t think that they would work very well. The tattoo might fade to the point of barely being able to see if if you never got it reworked……. but I don’t think lotions or creams will help get rid of a tattoo. Laser surgery will though.

Does tattoo removal creams work on already faded tattoos?
This question is for only thise that used the cream I dont need your suggestion if it may or may not work. Anyway my tattoos are on my forearms and they are really fading so I’m thinking about using a cream to fade them a little more so I can get lazer removal. Does the cream fade it if its black ink?

Does the Wrecking Balm Tattoo Fading Cream system work? After visiting some different sites and forums where people have commented on and given their reviews, their ratings look like this approximately: No one claimed it totally faded their tattoo. 60% said no noticeable fading of their tattoo 20% said there was some noticeable fading. 20% said there was a lot of fading. About 35% said they were pretty happy with the amount of fading they had. (It was enough to cover over with a new tattoo, or with make up.) Maybe 10% or so, or a third of the ones that were happy with it, said they were really happy with it. I found myself a bit skeptical of these comments, wondering if they were legit. But maybe they were.

C0nsidering that lazer tattoo removal can easily be $ 2000-$ 4000 or more, depending on several factors like tattoo age, color shade, size, type of ink and so forth, for many, using a tattoo removal cream like Wrecking Balm seems worth trying.

Keep in mind, the Wrecking Balm Tattoo cream removal kit is comprised of things you can get at a drug store- for a lot cheaper. (the main ingredient in theirtattoo removal cream is 1% hydroquinone, a skin whitener. Care must be taken in using it, as it can irritate or even scar the skin).

How does your tattoo look like after a laser tattoo removal?
Is it possible to actually get them to go away completely? I have a fully black tribal tattoo on my leg about 15 cm “tall” and maybe 5 cm wide.

Anyone that’s done laser removals with success? If so feel free to post pictures

It depends a lot on the size, shape, color and intensity of the ink that was used. For your type of tat, you need to get some quotes and opinions at a laser center where they can remove it. You can check out these images as well…

The tattoo I’m referring to is not yet in existance, but I’m thinking of thin black lettering right above my arch on the inside of my foot (so that when I’m standing flat footed I’m not standing on it but it’s not too visible either). I’m wondering if it fades as much as people say it will, wouldn’t the laser removal be much easier and take much less time?

How bad is Laser tattoo removal treatment?
I have tattoos I can take that pain, but how bad is laser removal and what does it feel like?

Best answer:

Answer by OpheliaBoneShatter
The thing people don’t realize is that laser tattoo removal is basically controlled burning. They burn a few layers of your skin off each session with a high powered laser.
Personally, I’d deal with the tattoo or get it covered. Sometimes the scars from laster tattoo removal can be worse than the tattoo.

Also, remember that it takes alot of time to remove a tattoo, depending on the size and colour, it can take up to a year to remove, and costs thousands of dollars. You will also have to deal with a partially visible tattoo for a few months.

Tattoo removal ? or can they tattoo your same skin color over the old tattoo ?
I don’t have any, but people go through different procedures, and it occurs to me tattoos can be in color, so why not color OVER with flesh tones, instead of harsh removal, or cover-up with something even bigger and darker ?

They DO cover it up with something bigger and darker sometimes, but why would they color over a tattoo with flesh tones? it would never look right, it’d look like you got a flesh tone-y tattoo.
